Julia Keogh is a graduate of Vassar Brothers Hospital with both an RN and BSN in Nursing. She worked for many years as a Public Health Nurse for Nassau County Public Health Department on Long Island. Ms. Keogh specialized in preventing communicative diseases and in later years promoting best practice in infant and early-childhood care.
She is the mother of five children and five grandchildren. Ms. Keogh is the sister of Sister Maura Clarke who was killed in El Salvador in 1980 and for whom MCIF Center is named after. Besides her role on the MCIF Center Board, she also volunteers at the Maryknoll Sisters Center in Ossining, NY helping elderly sisters who have retired. Ms. Keogh has worked for peace and justice for the people of El Salvador for over thirty years.
