Jillian D. Hopman, a practicing immigration and human rights attorney, graduated cum laude from Duke University with degrees in political science and psychology, and later earned her JD from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. While in law school, she served as the Executive Editor of the First Amendment Law Review and was the recipient of the Gressman-Pollitt Award for Exemplary Skill in Appellate Advocacy. She has also been published by the ACLU and other sources, edits the sports blog Chicks Dig the Fastball, and volunteers with the Duke Alumni Admissions Committee, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and New Heights NYC. Ms. Hopman has worked in immigration law for over six years, specializing in citizenship, removal proceedings, human rights, extraordinary ability, family petitions, immigrant waivers, and appeals. She is very excited to be on the Board of Directors for the MCIF Center.
