The Maura Clarke – Ita Ford (MCIF) Center has been offering quality education to adults in Brooklyn since 1993. Immigrant women attend the Center in order to create opportunities for a better future. MCIF Center enables our participants to improve their lives through the following educational programs:
English as a Second Language (ESL)
GED Preparation in Spanish
Computer Literacy
Citizenship Preparation
Entrepreneurship
While our core program has always been ESL, MCIF Center believes in a holistic education for our participants. Women who study at MCIF Center learn much more than English. They gain marketable skills in technology and small business creation, advance their level of education, empower themselves to achieve their goals, and most importantly become part of a supportive community in New York City.
